An IMAX film about the wild ocean ecosystems of South Africa provided the inspiration for the core of this library. Cape gannets bombing for fish, dolphins migrating through the waters, massive schools of fish darting about. Who says underwater has to be quiet?

Cannonballs, dives, lunges, surfacing, movements of all kinds captured in creeks, pools and professional foley pits are captured here. But the library goes deeper. A homemade microphone casing for underwater sounds, fire extinguishers to churn the water into energy, paddling strokes for kayaks and canoes, lake laps, waterfalls, honeymoon waves, downspout trickles, leaky roof drips, bong bubbles and more.

This is a working sound designer’s personal toolbox. Every recording earned its place.
